HINESVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) — A Hinesville family was displaced after a vehicle hit their home Tuesday night.
The crash occurred in the 200 block of Glenn Bryant Road around 9:30 p.m. According to Hinesville Police officials, the driver struck the bedroom of the home, injuring a resident and attempted to flee the scene.
The driver reportedly pulled his vehicle into a yard about half a block from the crash with parts of the residence on the hood.
The driver has been arrested and charges of fleeing the scene of an accident are pending, along with additional charges, officials said.
The residence cannot be lived in because the main waterline was damaged, the housing inspector said.
