GOP’s unfair advantage pushes unpopular agenda
I looked up some numbers regarding Indiana voters.
Apparently, 25% of voters in Indiana are registered as Democrats and 30% are registered as Republicans. The other 45% identify as independent or don’t claim any affiliation.
The state’s population allows Indiana nine seats in the U.S. House. Currently, seven seats are held by Republicans and two by Democrats.
In light of these numbers, Indiana absolutely should redraw the current districts so the numbers better reflect the population as the Constitution seemingly intends.
Yes, redistrict. By all means, that would accomplish just that – allotting four seats for Democrats and five for Republicans.
