MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — In a match where West Virginia needed just 16 seconds to find the back of the High Point net, the Mountaineers rescued a result late in the second half in a 2-2 draw between a pair of top ten teams.
The No. 10 Mountaineers received a 71st-minute goal from Pablo Pozos off a corner kick from Ethan Dekel Daks to equalize after the No. 9 Panthers scored a pair of goals in a 14-minute span in the first half.
“Obviously there were some tactical components of where we struggled in the first half that I wasn’t pleased with,” said WVU head coach Dan Stratford. “There were some psychological components of where we struggled in the first half that I wasn’t pleased with either. A good response. They were made aware of that at halftime.”
