Voters in Calera decided on new leadership in Tuesday's municipal runoff election.
Incumbent Jon Graham lost the runoff against Kenny Dale Cost.
Cost received 1,015 votes, giving him 82% over Graham, who had only 218 votes.
"Thank you for electing me as Calera's next Mayor," Cost said. "I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to serving."
Cost, a homebuilder, was first elected to the Calera city council in 2020.
Graham has served four terms as mayor.
