CLEVELAND, Ohio — Residents in Cleveland’s Gordon Square neighborhood say they’re fed up after a string of car break-ins left dozens of vehicles damaged and questions unanswered.
Cleveland police confirm at least 20 cars were vandalized in recent days, including a dozen reports from Monday night alone at The Edison apartment complex.
Lauren Mayell, who lives at The Edison, says the scene was unsettling.
“He came out and his window was shattered, and so he came back in and got me,” Mayell said of one of her neighbors. “Then when we came out, there was a whole kind of line of people, and everyone’s windows were shattered.”
In many cases, residents say nothing was stolen — just broken glass and personal items oddly rearranged.
