Being on the brink of defeat didn’t faze Eaton’s senior-led, battle-tested girls volleyball team in the least on its rival’s home court Tuesday.

The Reds walked away with a dramatic five-set victory against fellow state title contender University, despite trailing the match 2-1.

Eaton won 25-12, 21-25, 23-25, 25-7, 15-8 to secure its 10th consecutive win and improve to 10-1 overall, 5-0 in Class 4A/3A/2A Patriot League play.

The Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the season, falling to 7-1, 4-1.

Eaton extended its win streak against University to five matches.
