A tense situation unfolded in Mandai on Tuesday evening after alleged supporters of the TIPRA Motha set fire to a BJP Mandal office, including portraits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The incident came just a day after Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the Tripura Sundari temple in Udaipur, where members of the royal family and TIPRA Motha leaders were reportedly not invited, sparking discontent.

According to reports, the Mandai BJP office, adorned with large flex banners featuring PM Modi, was completely gutted in the fire. Police personnel from Mandai station, accompanied by TSR forces, rushed to the spot soon after being alerted. West Tripura Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, along with Jirania SDPO and a large police contingent, visited the site. However, no arrests have been made
