KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A new sheriff, with three decades of experience, has been appointed to serve Kings County.

The unanimous vote was cast Tuesday by the Kings County Board of Supervisors.

"Rick Bradford has served Kings County with honor and distinction as Undersheriff, bringing decades of law enforcement expertise, leadership in public safety, and a deep commitment to our community. Under his guidance, we look forward to continued progress in keeping our neighborhoods safe, supporting our first responders, and building stronger partnerships with residents."

Bradford will officially assume the role on Nov. 24, following the retirement of Sheriff Dave Robinson, who served Kings County for over 30 years.
