A massive sinkhole opened Wednesday morning outside a major hospital in Bangkok, forcing evacuations and road closures in the Thai capital.

The collapse appeared around 7:15 a.m. local time near Vajira Hospital in the Dusit district, spanning the entire width of the road.

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt told local media the sinkhole was triggered by a leak in a tunnel at a construction site for a new MRT station. No injuries were reported.
