CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — University of Virginia students, community members and political leaders gathered at Old Cabell Hall on Tuesday to honor conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated on September 10.

Speakers at the event included Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares, Rep. John McGuire (R-5th), and Larry Sabato, director of UVA’s Center for Politics.
