PROVO, Utah – Timpview High forward Will Openshaw has committed to BYU basketball.

The 6-foot-10 Openshaw announced his commitment to BYU on Tuesday night. He’s the second commitment to BYU’s 2026 recruiting class.

Openshaw, a Third Team All-State selection last year, picked BYU over offers from Utah Valley, Stanford, and others.

“The thing that made them stand out among the rest of the other schools that I was getting recruited by, … I felt like it was the best opportunity and best place to further develop my game and just kind of better my future when it comes to my basketball career,” Will Openshaw said to KSL Sports.
