The University of Colorado Boulder was ranked 97th in U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 list of Best Colleges, and 46th for Top Public Universities.

Colorado State University came in at No. 151 on the list, 79th among public schools, while the University of Northern Colorado ranked 343th and 187th on those respective lists.

U.S. News & World Report evaluated nearly 1,700 colleges and universities using more than a dozen measures of academic quality to form the 2026 rankings.
