A large sinkhole on a busy road in Thailand’s capital city Bangkok led to huge chaos as people scurried to safety after it swallowed three cars and electric poles.

Bangkok governor Chadchart Sittipunt confirmed while speaking to the Associated Press that three vehicles were damaged and that there were no casualties.

Citing officials, he said that the collapse was caused by an ongoing construction of an underground train station.

Videos from the moment of the collapse are now going viral on social media. One of the videos shared by Russian-state run RT shows the moment when the collapse happened. It began with the road slowly sinking down, pulling down several electricity poles and damaging water pipes.
