In view of a potential deep depression forming over the Bay of Bengal, Malkangiri District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay has cancelled all types of leave for government officials and employees until September 28.

The directive comes as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) warns of heavy rainfall, strong winds, and adverse weather conditions in the region over the coming days.

To ensure preparedness for any emergency situation, the Collector has instructed that no employee or officer may leave headquarters without prior approval. Even previously sanctioned leaves stand revoked until the specified date.
