A young man died after being hit by a train moments after a railway worker had asked him if he was okay.

Fabrice Neza, 25, told the construction site safety worker that he was okay after he was spotted standing close to the platform edge, an inquest heard.

Fabrice stepped back from the platform edge after the worker at Deighton station, Huddersfield, asked him to do so. Asked if he was okay, Fabrice told the worker: "Yes, I'm just waiting for the train."

But tragically Fabrice was killed when he was hit by a Trans Pennine Express train which was travelling through Deighton station at 65mph on May 27.
