Gov. Matt Meyer announced his nominee on Sept. 23 to serve as the next state Department of Health and Social Services Secretary as “nationally recognized” health policy leader Christen Linke Young.

If approved by the state Senate, Young would take the helm from current Health and Social Services Secretary Josette Manning, whose departure was announced this past July .
