A clash broke out between students and police in Leh, Union Territory of Ladakh on Wednesday. Students pelted stones at the police and set fire to a CRPF vehicle. Actually, these students are protesting along with social activist Sonam Wangchuk. Wangchuk has been on a hunger strike for the past 15 days.

In 2019, when Article 370 and 35A were removed, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh were made two Union Territories. The government had then assured to restore full statehood once the situation in the state returns to normal.
