Prime Minister Mark Carney’s directive to reduce expenses is a start. However, each and every department should be put under a microscope, looking for cuts in their operational budgets in excess of the PM’s orders. Article content Article content

The Government of Canada has become an uncontrollable behemoth that will take a herculean effort to stop. The problem is there is no Hercules available to lead the charge. After all, you may need to get elected again. There are about 360,000 employees in the government and its related agencies. That’s a lot of votes!
