Canada's travel boycott of the United States has continued into its eighth month after a challenging summer for the latter's travel and tourism sector, in spite of Canadian business travel to the U.S. on the up— or at least steady. Tourism Economics' revealed on 22 August that Canadian visitation continues to spiral downward, as visits from Canada were down 25.2% year to date—that includes a 37.0% fall lin land arrivals in July, and a 35.6% to 43.0% drop in air bookings from Canada compared to the same time last year.
