DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Central Illinois is in for another stretch of hot and dry weather.
While some hometowns picked up showers and a few storms Tuesday, some only saw sprinkles.
A few more showers are possible today and tomorrow. Highs will be in the upper-70s.
Sunshine returns Friday into early next with very limited, if any, rain chances.
Highs will warm into the low-to-mid-80s Friday through the weekend. By early next week, we'll be back into the mid-to-upper-80s.
It looks like the heat will stick around through the first week of October.
