NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- New Haven officials are expected to release new information on last month's double homicide on Dickerman Street.

One side claims this was a fight over a girl that got out of hand, while the other claims it was all self-defense.

According to police, 39-year-old Sergio Thomas is accused of the shooting death of Daiquan Hyman, 26, and Ernest Williams, 32, of New Haven.

The attorney for the suspect said Thomas was worried about the safety of his brother during a fight. He told News 8 earlier this month that the brother was dating a sister of one of the victims and that there was an issue in their relationship.
