EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) -- Volunteers are building a new playground at Elks Park in Evanston.

They've spent the past two days prepping the area and Wednesday they will build the structure.

The community build is in partnership with KABOOM and Discover.

A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for 2:30 p.m.

Where: Elks Park, 301 Callan Ave., Evanston, Illinois

Build Day: Wed 9/24 - 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (ribbon cutting at 2:30)
