It may only be September, but the Howard-Suamico School District is opening the door to at least one 2026 referendum.

The school district is holding a series of engagement sessions to judge community support and answer questions. It’s considering multiple different referendum possibilities, including renewing an operational referendum and upgrading buildings with a facilities referendum.

Engagement sessions start Oct. 6, and anyone who lives in the school district is invited to attend. Here’s when and where to participate:

Oct. 6 : 6 to 8 p.m. at Lineville Intermediate School

Oct. 7: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the District Office large training room

Oct. 7: 6 to 8 p.m. at Meadowbrook Elementary School

Oct. 8: 6 to 8 p.m. at Bay Port High School
