STILLWATER – While Chad Weiberg apparently will oversee Oklahoma State’s search for a new head football coach, there still is no absolutely clarity on his contract status as the university’s athletic director.
As his original four-year deal expired on June 30, the first question presented to Weiberg during a Tuesday news conference was, “Did you get a new contract?”
“We’re not here to talk about my deal,” Weiberg replied.
When asked for a simple “yes” or a “no” on the contract question, he said, “No. (A new contract) is not something that is completed, and it’s not something that I’m worried about at this time.
