Sun Valley’s Richard Brown, 66, did not mind playing 24 pickleball matches over the three-day Sun Valley Pickleball Classic, held Friday through Sunday at the Sun Valley Tennis Center.

“It’s a lot of pickleball, but we all love it,” he said. “Our community is blowing up with pickleball.”

A group of 144 pickleball players from across the U.S., 108 of which were from Idaho, competed in both singles and doubles competitions over the weekend.

Brown competed on Friday in the men’s singles 4.5 tournament and placed fourth. On Saturday, he competed with Georgianna Weatherholtz in the mixed doubles 4.5 tournament and earned the silver medal.
