A Waterloo Road actress is said to be set to step in for Dani Dyer on Strictly Come Dancing . The reality TV star, who rose to fame on Love Island, announced on Tuesday that she had been forced to pull out of the BBC competition before the first live show after suffering a serious injury. ‌

The 29-year-old revealed to fans that she had fractured her ankle during rehearsals and was withdrawing on medical advice, admitting she was left "heartbroken" by the setback. Dani had been due to perform alongside professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin , with the pair scheduled to debut in this weekend’s first live show. ‌
