HANAPEPE — Kapaa’s Kaisen Mundon pulled in a scoring pass and rushed for a touchdown to lead the Warriors to a 28-7 win over Waimea High School on Saturday during the Kauai Interscholastic Federation football games played at Hanapepe Stadium.

With a minute and 42 seconds remaining in the Junior Varsity game, Waimea’s Brayden Ramos intercepted a JV Warrior pass and ran the ball back for touchdown to keep Waimea from being shut out, 27-6 as the JV game closed when the Menehune’s Point After Touchdown came up empty.

Kapaa, the defending KIF football champion and Division I representative from the KIF, successfully capped its first possession with a touchdown when Warrior quarterback Kaitin Mundon passed to Kaisen Mundon in the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown.
