Camden crime rates: City in New Jersey reaches significant crimefighting milestone, touting declining crime rates

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- The city of Camden, New Jersey , has reached a significant crimefighting milestone.

For the first time in nearly 50 years, it has gone an entire summer without a homicide.

This comes as the city continues to see a decline in violent crime rates. Compared to last year, homicides are down 43%.
