GARRETT COUNTY, Md. —

A Westmoreland County man is facing multiple charges following a deadly incident involving a UTV that killed another man from Westmoreland County.

Ricky A. Wise, 59, of Mount Pleasant, is charged with negligent manslaughter with a vehicle, negligent homicide by motor vehicle while under the influence and other offenses. Advertisement

It was back on Feb. 22 that investigators said Wise was operating a UTV that broke through the ice under the Glendale Bridge.

According to a news release from Maryland’s Department of Natural Resources, Wise was able to get out of the vehicle without assistance but his passenger, David Linsenberger, 58, of Greensburg, was trapped until crews were able to free him.
