The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Chhattisgarh and Odisha on Wednesday.

According to the IMD, a low-pressure area currently lies over north Odisha and adjoining regions of northwest Bay of Bengal and Gangetic West Bengal, with another fresh low-pressure system likely to form over north and adjoining central Bay of Bengal around September 25.

Under the influence of these systems, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected across several parts of the country in the coming days. Odisha is likely to witness intense rainfall till September 27, while Chhattisgarh may receive heavy showers on Wednesday and Thursday.
