As President Donald Trump’s attacks on comedians and others for saying things he doesn’t like continues, the Democratic National Committee is launching an ad campaign Wednesday spotlighting his anti-free speech rhetoric.
In a five-figure, Pennsylvania-wide online campaign, the DNC will focus its efforts on conservative and independent voters.
“It’s clear Donald Trump only cares about silencing his critics — and now, voters across Pennsylvania are going to hear about it,” said a DNC statement.
A recent aggregation of polling showed that nearly 63% of independents disapprove of Trump and an Associated Press poll released last week determined that Republican optimism under Trump has fallen from 70% in June to 49% in September.
The DNC’s 30-second ad starts by showing Trump bragging
