'Everything’s frozen for you': Stopped on the street by NYC police, France's Macron calls ... Trump
PARIS (AP) — French President Emmanuel Macron has shown he can reach President Donald Trump anytime. When push came to shove, he proved it. On Monday, Macron was blocked by police in a New York street due to a VIP motorcade. He called Trump, telling him "I’m waiting in the street because everything is frozen for you!” A French official confirmed Trump was on the line. Macron was heading to France’s diplomatic mission after announcing France’s recognition of Palestinian statehood at the United Nations. He used the call to discuss potential talks about Gaza. Macron continued his walk a few minutes later when the street reopened.
