One person was killed and another was hurt in a crash Wednesday morning in Northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.

The collision happened at Northwest 42nd Avenue (LeJeune Road) and Northwest 36th Street.

Video shows a mangled sedan with airbags deployed surrounded by crime scene tape. Next to the vehicle, a yellow tarp covers what is presumed to be a body.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, one person died at the scene. Another person was rushed to the hospital.

Drivers should take Northwest 27th Avenue as an alternate route.
