It’s National Farm Safety and Health Week, which covers some important topics.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says last year there were 153 crashes involving farm vehicles. One person died, and 65 people were hurt.
Remember to slow down and be patient when approaching farm vehicles. Remember, it’s illegal to pass farm equipment in a no-passing zone.
The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation adds, don’t assume farmers can see you. Blind spots are common on farm equipment.
Watch out for unexpected turns into a field driveway.
