Police in Kanengo, Lilongwe, have arrested three individuals on suspicion of stealing goods valued at K4 million.

Kanengo Police spokesperson Gresham Ngwira identified the suspects as Charles Zuzo (23), Francis Kachulu (30), and Alick Magola (31).

The arrests follow a complaint by businessman Humphrey Murrey, who reported a robbery at his shop, Murrey General Dealers, located in Magwero.

According to Murrey, the suspects broke into the business premises, injured security guards, and stole seven heavy-duty truck tires, three car batteries, and other items before fleeing the scene.

“The police conducted an investigation, which led to the arrest of the three suspects and the recovery of the stolen items. The suspects will appear in court soon,” Ngwira said.
