A mass shooting at Annunciation in Minnesota; an assassination in Orem, Utah. Headlines that should not take place are now commonplace.
Fatigue is the normal response after so much adrenaline and anxiety. Too much fatigue allows apathy to take root. Apathy is the absence of concern, and unfortunately it is becoming the default for many. I am not writing solely about gun violence or political violence but to encourage anyone who may read this that the opposite of apathy does not have to be activism. It can simply be acting reasonably.
