The plant is set to supply batteries to the $7.6 billion Hyundai Motor’s EV manufacturing plant scheduled to start production in 2031. Hyundai decided to build the $4.3 billion plant because of a $2 billion incentive package received from Georgia. So far so good; fits perfectly with President Trump’s call to reindustrialize the U.S. and in President Trump’s view, demonstrates that his tariff policies are working with the promise of 8,500 new jobs for Georgia workers.
