Taxpayers in Clay sent the most money of any town in a six-county region of Central New York to a local school district in 2024, according to records from the New York State Comptroller’s Office.

The Liverpool Central School District collected over $58 million from Clay taxpayers last year. That’s the highest total from any town to a single school district in a region consisting of Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga and Oswego counties, not including the city of Syracuse.
