Lee Frank’s in Exeter is chef Lee Frank’s third entry in the burger joint/hotdog stand/milkshake-making empire he founded in 2021 in southern Maine.

He and his wife, Brooke, are also the owners of Otis, a fine-dining restaurant in Exeter they started in 2016.

Frank’s name may be familiar because he made it to the finals this summer in the NBC reality cooking show “Yes, Chef!” hosted by Martha Stewart and Jose Andres.

The 2024 and 2025 James Beard semifinalist hails from Southern California. His Lee Frank’s locations are inspired by growing up with In-N-Out Burger, a West Coast chain famous for its “Animal Style” menu items, which include the addition of grilled onions and a secret sauce.
