As the homecoming slogan proclaimed, the Warriors “Socked” it to Sauk Rapids-Rice. Brainerd hammered them 48-0 before a noisy crowd at Don Adamson Field. James Strand and John Haberman each rushed for more than 100 yards and two TDs, and the defense forced four turnovers.

30 years ago (1995)

Entering the season with only two returning offensive linemen meant the Warrior football team was questionable in the trenches. Now, four games into the season, unbeaten Brainerd has an unquestionable line. In the 28-8 win over Sartell, the line opened gaping holes for the backs.
