The Australian War Memorial has changed the wording of a plaque next to its Ben Roberts-Smith display for a third time after the veteran’s final legal bid was thrown out by the High Court.

The text next to the VC recipient’s display now reflects a decision by the High Court earlier this month that rejected a special leave application to challenge a Federal Court ruling.

The Full Court of the Federal Court earlier this year dismissed Mr Roberts-Smith’s appeal after he unsuccessfully sued Nine Newspapers over a series of stories making war crime allegations relating to his deployment in Afghanistan.
