Murder bid cops have launched an investigation after a man was left seriously injured following an incident in Greenock. ‌

The incident that cops are treating as attempted murder happened around 5.20pm on Tuesday, 23 September, on Darndaff Road. ‌

A 65-year-old man was taken to hospital with what are described as serious injuries. ‌

Police are hunting a suspect who is described as a man around 5ft 9ins, of medium build with light brown short hair.

At the time, he was wearing a grey jumper and was driving a small white coloured connect style van. ‌
