$31 million Lotto Max win transforms Canadian's life in an instant

Whether they know it yet or not, one Canadian just became a multimillionaire overnight following a Lotto Max jackpot win.

The recent Lotto Max draw took place on Tuesday, Sept. 23, and the winning numbers were 08, 09, 23, 30, 38, 40, and 43, with a bonus number of 41. According to PlayNow , someone matched the seven winning numbers, instantly becoming $31 million richer. The lucky ticket was sold online in B.C.

Although no one scored the second prize worth $156,668.10, 36 Canadians matched six of the seven winning numbers to win the third prize. They’ll each take home their share worth $4,351.90.

No one in B.C. won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra prize, and similarly in Ontario, no one won the $1 million Encore prize.
