KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - The Kinston Police Department continues to look for tips on the anniversary of two people killed five years apart.
Today marks 19 years since Gonzales Harmon was murdered, and 14 years since Norris Cobb’s death.
Harmon was shot on September 24, 2006, just after 9 p.m. in the 900 block of East King Street. She was taken to what was then Lenoir Memorial Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Police say there are no known witnesses, and her attacker has never been identified.
Five years after Harmon’s death, Cobb was shot in 2011 on the 300 block of North Rochelle Boulevard.
Despite first responders’ efforts to save him, Cobb died at the scene.
Kinston police remain committed to finding answers and seeking justice for Gonzales, Cobb and their loved ones.
