One person was transported to a hospital and dozens more were treated for heat-related illnesses on Tuesday at a promotional event for rapper Cardi B at a Houston-area Walmart, according to the Cy-Fair Fire Department.

Hundreds of people waited in line outside the Walmart at 8927 Fry Rd. in Cypress for the chance to meet and take photos with the New York-based rapper, who held the event in conjunction with the release of her new album, “Am I the Drama?”

The meet-and-greet was scheduled from 2-10 p.m., and Cardi B arrived at about the halfway point of that time window, according to multiple news reports.
