One student is in critical condition after three students were stabbed at Carrick High School on Wednesday morning, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said.

A student is in custody and being questioned at Pittsburgh Police headquarters, Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said. Advertisement

The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. The victims are boys ranging in age from 15 to 18 years old, Cruz said. The school is on lockdown while police remain at the scene.

Public Safety said two students were transported by EMS for stab wounds to their abdomens, and a third victim with "a minor laceration" was treated at the scene.
