A pop-up thunderstorm brought heavy showers and lightning to the Southern California coast overnight.
“We did have a little concentration of moisture that moved through yesterday," KTLA Meteorologist Henry DiCarlo said Wednesay morning.
Video taken in Ventura shortly after midnight showed multiple lightning strikes as streets quickly became slickened by the downpour.
A slow-moving low-pressure system will bring another chance of showers and thunderstorms as we head toward the weekend, with the likelihood greatest in the mountains and deserts, according to the NWS.
