A Levant man was arrested Tuesday evening after a standoff with police.
Travis Rideout, 36, has been charged with domestic violence and criminal threatening, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
Rideout was allegedly acting disorderly about 4:19 p.m. at a home in Levant.
When he allegedly refused to surrender to police, an hours-long standoff ensued. That came to an end when Rideout finally surrendered to police.
He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor, where he was released on bail.
