The Bulldog football team has taken a hit no player, coach, parent, or fan ever anticipates.

"Really just want to bring awareness to childhood cancer and show his family and show Avery himself that we love and support him," head coach Ty Taylor said.

Just a little over a month ago, Avery Lawson was going through fall camp, anxiously awaiting the first high school football game of his junior year.
