With an eye on the crucial Bihar Assembly elections due in October-November, the INDIA bloc launched the ‘Ati-Pichhra Nyaya Sankalp’, a 10-point resolution to ensure socio-political and economic justice for the Extremely Backward Class (EBC) communities, in Patna on Wednesday.
The politically crucial EBC communities are able to reshape Bihar’s politics. Every party has been trying to secure their fragmented loyalties ahead of the 2025 Assembly elections in the state.

Launching the resolution, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, stating that the Nitish Kumar government did not do anything for the EBC communities during his 20-year rule, alleged that the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar “used them as a vote bank”.
